Seed Saving Workshop
Join us in the garden to learn how to save seeds to grow next season. We will focus on saving the seeds of native flowers around the garden. You will learn how to collect the seeds and how to store them safely. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to take some of the seeds we save together home with you to plant in your own gardens.

Yoga in the Garden
Join us in the garden for a beginner friendly, gentle yoga flow. We will share 30 minutes to breathe and move together in a community. This event will take place outdoors in a shaded grassy area of the garden. We invite you to bring your own yoga mat if you have one, or borrow one of ours. This is the perfect time to enjoy the peaceful garden setting with no expectations.
Jim Irsay 1976 Acts Of Kindness Day
Fields Market is excited to participate in the Jim Irsay 1976 Acts Of Kindness Day. The Rotary Club of Carmel and Kiwanis Club of Carmel are partnering to launch the “Jim Irsay 1976 Acts of Kindness Day” in the summer of 2026 in celebration of Carmel’s 50th anniversary as a city. This collaborative, community-wide initiative will feature multiple service projects across Carmel. Rooted in the shared mission of both organizations to strengthen communities and develop leaders through service, the event will bring together volunteers from Rotary, Kiwanis, and other service organizations, local businesses, and non-profits to complete 1,976 acts of kindness, honoring the memory of Jim Irsay. By dedicating a single day to collective impact, the partnership aims to inspire civic pride, expand community engagement, and leave a lasting, positive mark on the city of Carmel. The Jim Irsay 1976 Acts of Kindness Day has been approved by the Indianapolis Colts for August 5, 2026.
Join us in supporting our community members with intellectual and developmental disabilities to create unique mosaic stepping stones. These stepping stones will be the first addition to our upcoming Sensory Garden Project. The Sensory Garden will be a place for community members to come and enjoy experiencing the garden through all their senses. It will serve as a demonstration garden for us to host educational workshops, plant walks, and more.

Plant Bingo
We have a fun event that combines two of our favorite things, games and plants! If that sounds fun to you as well you should sign up for plant bingo. We can’t wait to host this event and we hope you and your friends will join us for this fun game night!
Volunteer Potluck
Thank you volunteers! To show our appreciation we will be hosting a volunteer potluck on the 17th. We will have burgers and salads but we welcome anyone to bring a side if they’re able. Thank you for everything you do for Fields Market Garden we can’t wait to see you!
Yoga In The Garden

Compost Pile Build Workshop
A New Way To Compost!
Wednesday, June 17 from 6:00-7:00pm
Try a new way to compost here at the garden! We will be building a Johnson-Su bioreactor, this method involves far less manual labor than other methods of composting. Composting is a great way to be more sustainable at home and in gardens so if you’re interested in this workshop RSVP here. Can’t wait to see you!
Native Landscaping Workshop
We are excited show you around our new native planting areas. This hands on event will guide participants through the entire process from turf to pollinator friendly native landscaping. Please RSVP here if you are planning to attend.
Compost Workshop
Our friends at Indiana Native Plant Society (INPS) are going to join us and share with you the basics of composting and different ways to compost on your own food scraps, garden waste, and more. We will be walking through Fields Market Garden’s composting corner and discussing the basics of compost.

Different methods to create compost
Benefits of adding finished compost to your soil

Celebrate Earth Day at Fields Market Garden! 🌎🌱
You’re invited to join us in the garden for a fun and relaxing Earth Day celebration at Fields Market Garden!

Volunteer Open House
Have you been curious about volunteering at Fields Market Garden, but do not know what to expect? This event will allow you to tour the farm space, meet volunteers, and see what volunteer opportunities are available. Our team will be there to answer any questions you may have and provide you with additional information.
Seed Starting Workshop
Join us to learn how to start your own seeds for a garden, planter on your porch, or indoor herb garden. We will start by demonstrating and explaining how to start seeds and then you will have the chance to start your own.
We will provide all the materials needed including a small selection of vegetable, flower, or herb seeds for you to choose from. However, you are welcome to bring your own seeds if you have something specific you would like to start.

Paint and Plant a Pot
Join us in the greenhouse to brighten up your winter day. We will be painting little terracotta pots and then planting a succulent into them to take home. Bring a friend and enjoy an evening creating in the warmth of the greenhouse.

Join us for a build project in the garden. We will be constructing a flower display stand that will allow us to show off our fresh local flowers in a new retail location this year. Please make sure to sign up using our sign up genius.
Winter Sowing Workshop
Join us in the greenhouse to learn how and why we can sow seeds in the middle of winter!
Workshop objectives:
Learn which seeds are good to start this time of year
Learn and go through the process of sowing the seeds

A clean empty milk jug if you have one

2025 Volunteer Appreciation Night
Join us for a dessert reception to celebrate our incredible volunteers. We will show off all the hard work our volunteers have put in this year and what their work has allowed Fields Market Garden to accomplish.
Hands On Compost Workshop
You are invited to join us in learning how to create a compost pile from scratch. Come prepared with your own compostable materials such as kitchen scraps, leaves, and grass clippings. We will be building a compost pile together from the start and keep you updated until it is finished.
Freeland's Dinner in the Garden
Join us in the greenhouse for a four course meal and four wine pairings made by our neighbors from Freeland’s Restaurant. Tickets are $175 and can be reserved by emailing info@freelandsrestaurant.com or calling (317) 316-9875.
Seed Saving Workshop
Join us in the garden to learn how seeds are made and how to save them. We will walk through the garden and see different examples of seeds being produced, then we will discuss methods to collect and sort the seeds and save them for next season. You are welcome to take home seeds we collect during this workshop. Please dress for the weather as this workshop will take place outdoors.
Our workshops are all donation based. Your donations are greatly appreciated and go towards future workshop materials and our operating costs.

Restorative Sound Immersion
Join us in the garden to enjoy a unique experience!
A Restorative Sound Immersion, also known as “Sound Bathing,” is the practice of mindfully listening to different sounds to promote physical and mental well-being.
Bring a comfy lawn chair or a yoga mat, and cozy blanket, cushion/pillow, and a covering for your eyes (sunglasses, eye mask, or small towel) to enjoy a guided relaxation, then “bathe” in the sound waves from Crystal and Himalayan metal singing bowls, chimes, and other instruments surrounded by the sounds of nature.
The sounds are an invitation to unplug, reset and deeply relax body and mind.
